"Knickstape"

還記得大概兩年前，當時 NBA 季後賽正打得如火如荼；人稱紐約最死忠球迷的大導演 Spike Lee 在尼克對戰熱火的第三戰，一如往常地坐在麥迪遜花園廣場專屬於他的場邊席座上對著場內熱情叫囂，他腳上的那雙「尼克假日主場招牌橘藍配色太空鞋」大大吸引了眾人的目光，而對於何時能有市售版本的出現，鞋迷們一直議論紛紛；現在，漫長的等待與各種猜測都要結束了，Nike 於 11/26將正式推出 Air Foamposite One "Knickstape"。據聞市售版本與當年 Spike Lee 的專屬客製版相差不大，除了小細節的配色外，主要就是鞋跟上的 Logo 係以一般 Foam One 的 Penny 經典1號標誌做呈現，而不同於 Spike 版本的 Mars Blackmon 和 40 Acres and a Mule 配置。

《Knickstape》
據說最早來自於尼克隊的得分後衛 Iman Shumpert，他在 2012年底利用饒舌歌手肯伊·威斯特的當紅勁曲 "Clique" 的空拍 Instrumental 秀了一段名為 "Knicks Anthem" 的 Freestyle，歌詞唱到了 "Aint nobody mess wit my Knicks-Knicks-Knicks-tape"；而這裡的 Knickstape 是取自於對 Mixtape 諧音的翻玩，現在一般人普遍對「混音輯」的概念大概只是眾 DJ 們自選各式曲目串連而成類似主題精選集的作品；其實在最初 80、90年代，人們在廣播或從 CD 上隨機聽到喜歡的單曲時，習慣自己拿著錄音機用卡帶側錄下來單純想留在身邊隨時想聽就聽、慢慢欣賞，久而久之累積下來，自然出現了許多諸如「開車專用」、「派對必備」或是「浪漫時刻」等多種特別專屬於自己或適合某種情境的主題特輯，這就是所謂 Mixtape 最基本的由來；說穿了也算是一種紀錄生活的型式吧。

而根據 Shumpert 自己的解釋：『 The #knickstape is a mixtape of peresonalities, all wearing a Knicks jersey. On a mixtape, you got the club song, you got the sophisticated song,you got the brand new song, you got the single that was on the last album,but because it was so hot, we gonna put it on the mixtape anyway. And it’s like you got a collection of dudes that: This dude got 10 years in the league, and this dude got 13 years in the league, and this dude, a rookie, like you know what i mean, but you got so many different personalities. You got dudes that yell after they dunk, you got dudes that don’t say nothing, you got Novocaine that just don’t miss, you got…It’s not even the Knicks anymore, it’s like REAL LIFE is just a #knickstape. 』
